Translation.

Extract from Wa Tez Yat Po, Hongkong, 12th. May, 1913.

Since the election of Yuen to the Presidence by the various Guilds in Hongkong by telegram and the delivery of the loans by the Financial Representatives, there has been an abrupt and serious downfall of the influence of the Kwok Man Tong. The leading members of the Society, in order to maintain the power of the Society, have adopted many measures to provide a remedy, and will request Ng Ting Fong (Wu Ting-fang) and Wan Chung Iu to put them- -selves forward to settle the matter by amicable arrangement.
